Zanesville Jogger Beating Update

Zanesville Police Chief Kenneth Miller today issued an update on the investigation in to the assault of a jogger at Woodlawn Cemetery.  The chief says there were 14 to 16 students involved and they were mostly juveniles from the Zanesville Community School.  Chief Miller says the student were sitting on some step in the cemetery and some were throwing rocks and hit a sign.  The jogger who was assaulted confronted the students and an argument started which escalated into a fight involving 3 males.  The jogger suffered a partially collapsed lung and bruised ribs.  His condition is not available.  Chief Miller says no charges have been filed until he meets with the County Prosecutor.  The incident happened Tuesday and remains under investigation.
