ZMCCC Focuses On Marketing Hunting, Exploring the Outdoors To Tourists

The Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce is focused on promoting three niches Muskingum has to offer to potential tourists, including hunting, exploring the great outdoors, and promoting the county as a women’s getaway destination.

"We have new marketing materials, new free standing banners and several trade shows that particularly go after those niches," said Kelly Ashby, VP of the ZMCCC. "So we have been completely focusing on those three markets for this year. It gives us something new to talk about, something new to promote for Muskingum County."

With new marketing materials printed and currently circulating, Ashby says there are plenty of things to explore and places to visit in Muskingum County.

"We try to pick just new markets every year to go after. And so it’s not necessarily different, it just enhances what we already do for promoting the area. Last year we did a lot of focus on motor coach groups and a lot of focus on golf. We still do that, so this just lets us add to that marketing."

This year, Ashby says there will be a new focus on getting tourists from Canada to visit the county, along with distribution in Detroit, Pittsburgh, Kentucky, and other surrounding states. For more information you can go online to
