Are you like the more than 42 million people in the U.S.. who can’t stop smoking cigarettes? Well there is free class here in Zanesville to help you kick the habit.

Rambo Memorial Health Center offers a class that helps people better understand their tobacco addiction. Classes take place on Monday mornings at 9 a.m. and Wednesday evenings at 5 p.m. The classes utilize a variety of resources to deter members from smoking.

"We work on trying to quit by working on their habits and working on the addiction. We do offer for people that are unable to get nicotine replacement therapy, we offer it free for them once they complete the three classes and we will give them a months worth and once they complete the whole session they will be eligible for two more months, " said Howard Bailey, Tobacco Treatment Specialist.

To complete the course it take about six weeks and there is a 40 percent success rate. Bailey says quitting is a choice that individuals must make themselves.

" We also do an individual quit plan where we work individually with people on what are their major problems what are they going to have a problem with. " said Bailey.
