Last Day of Classes for ZHS Students

Zanesville High School students were counting down the hours until summer break on Friday.

It was the last day of class and students and teachers alike spent the day preparing for vacation . Principal Ulbrich says although school is over for the year, there are opportunities over the summer for children to learn.

" We offer summer OGT intevention that basically runs from June 9 to 19. We offer it in three subject areas math, science and social studies. We sent forms home for our students already," said Principal Ulbrich.

The school is also offering summer school credit make up courses to keep student academically on track to graduate. ZHS also wants to remind people that the 158th Zanesville high School graduation cermemony will take place Saturday.

" The weather forecast looks great so we will be outdoors and if something would come up and we are indoors we will use our online phone messaging system and well also get it out the media that we are moving inside," said Ulbrich.

Graduation will take place at Sulsburger Stadium at 7:30 p.m. For more information about the ceremony or summer course work you can visit the school in person or give them a call by phone.
