The staff at Walgreens on Maple set up shop in their parking lot on Saturday afternoon to raise money for a good cause.

The store held a community garage sale as a fundraiser for the annual "Relay for Life" event that is coming up next month. The members from team Walgreens of Zanesville- Way to Well say finding a cure for cancer and other life threatening illnesses are important causes to support.

"Everybody probably knows somebody that has suffered from some sort of life changing disease or they needs a transplant, " said Store Manager, Jason Forgete.

There were a variety of items up for grabs and Walgreens even threw in a few freebies as well.

"We got some clothing, some toys, some other knick knacks, from around the house for sale at good prices, cheap prices, " said Forgete.

Guests enjoyed refreshments while helping out their local community. Forgete says his team had already raised $4,000 for the cause. They plan to have more events like the garage sale in the near future to support autism and other diseases.
