The Zanesville Police Department arrested a suspect believed to be connected to a January homicide investigation.

At approximately 10:30a.m. Friday morning the Zanesville Police Department’s Special Response Team raided a home at 207 Corwin Avenue and apprehended Chad M. Morrison,34 in connection to the murder of Isaac Thomas.

"In the early morning hours in January we had a shooting where the victim had stumbled out in the street and later died we have been investigating that murder since then and we were able to get enough evidence and everything to charge Mr. Morrison with complicity to the murder, " said Kenneth Miller, Police Chief.

Chief Miller says that his team used a variety of methods to gather enough evidence to arrest Morrison and the investigation is continuing at this time.

" We analyze the physical evidence as well as try to get witnesses, any type of video footage from the area and we analyze all of that and we work the case from there, " said Miller.

Morrison was arrested on a complaint filed by the Muskingum County Prosecutor’s Office. The case will be presented to a grand jury in the next few weeks.
