What’s black and white and fuzzy all over?

Batman is this weeks featured pet. He is a labrador- beagle mix and is in need of a home. At just one- year-old he has a lot of energy and is ready for any adventure.

" He is real playful. He loves being around people and loves being around kids, he would be a good dog for a family because he is young and still in the learning stages, " said Executive Director, Jody Murray.

Batman is fixed and will be microchipped the day of adoption. To purchase him it costs $105 . The animal shelter is also having a Family Fun Day coming up next month for visitors to check out other animals while enjoying a variety of fun activities.

" It’s just a great day for people to come out to look at the shelter. We have a lot of fun things going on. We are going to have food, facepainting lots of things for kids to do including a scavenger hunt, " said Murray.

The Sheriff’s Office’s K9 unit will also make an appearance and retired military personnel will receive special adoption pricing. Family Fun Day will take place on June 7th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
