Riesbeck’s in South Zanesville (2200 June Parkway) will be holding its 5th Annual Community Baby Shower this Friday May 16th from 11am to 4pm.

"They can expect a lot of fun," said Jane Dombroski Reisbeck’s Events and Digital Marketing Coordinator. "We’re going to have some food and beverages for the community. We’re going to have a table set up outside with baby items, there’s going to be a Pepsi wagon, it’s going to be a lot of fun and let’s hope for some nice weather."

The event will take place outside in front of the Riesbecks. Persons looking to help donate can purchase items in the store, outside on the tables, or the provided $5 dollar "grab bags" full of items new moms will need.

"We like to help the working poor especially, because they are the ones that really need the help," said Kathy Combs, Outreach Coordinator at the Muskingum County Community Action Agency. "This helps new mothers that are waiting for their WIC to start, or someone who’s paycheck or sometimes SSI or something just doesn’t stretch for the month."

Proceeds from the event will benefit Operation Feed and the Special Needs Pantry. The event will take place rain or shine.

Items Needed:
Baby Formula, Diapers, Baby Food, Soap and Body Wash, Shampoo and Lotion, Teething Items, Baby Juice, Wipes, Pacifiers, Wash Cloths, Snack Items, Bottles, etc.
