The Perry County Sheriff Office makes a pot bust and makes an arrest at the same time. Sheriff William Barker says it happened Saturday at 130-15 Township Road 325 in Crooksville. The Sheriff says his deputies were tipped off to a big party where there might be underage drinking. But when officers arrived they say they found a sophisticated marijuana growing operation in a shed. Barker say officers seized over 16 pounds of processed pot with a street value of 40-thousand dollars. Barker says 40-year-old Jeremy Eveland was arrested in the case. He is charged with one count of illegal cultivation of marijuana in the presence of a juvenile. Additional charges are possible once the case goes before a grand jury. Barker says his deputies were assisted by Agents with the Central Ohio Drug Enforcement Task Force and the Liquor Control Division. There were no alcohol related arrests made by agents.
