A rollover crash near South Zanesville sends one to the hospital late Wednesday afternoon.
Trooper Jeff Fowler Jr. with the Zanesville Post of the State Highway Patrol says at around 5 p.m. a red Ford F-150 was northbound on State Route 555 just past Grantcliffe Road. The vehicle lost control, slid off the right side of the road and overturned into an embankment. There were two occupants in the truck, the male passenger was ejected from the vehicle and transported to Good Samaritan Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Neither occupant was wearing a seat-belt.
The male driver was cited for unsafe vehicle due to some issues with the vehicle that more than likely contributed to the crash according to Trooper Fowler. Also, there were two dogs caged in the bed of the pickup truck, the cages and the dogs were thrown from the vehicle at the time of the crash. Neither dog was seriously injured.
