Tri-Valley Bomb Threat – Nobody In Custody

by George Hiotis on May 9, 2014

.The Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a bomb threat at Tri-Valley High School.  It happened just before noon Friday.  Superintendent Mark Neal says the threat was written on a wall in the boy’s bathroom.  Neal says when once administrators found out about the threat students were evacuated from the building to the stadium across the street.  The Sheriff’s Office brought in a bomb sniffing dog which did not find anything and the students were allowed back inside the building. Neal says he has a handful of suspects, but no one in custody in the bomb threat.  Neal did say the district’s automatic phone alert system did not did not work properly informing parents about the incident.  He says only 360 of 739 calls were made and he’s looking into the reason why.  No injuries were reported.
