Zanesville Man Pleads Guilty In Assault

by George Hiotis on May 21, 2014

A Zanesville man charged in connection with the assault of a homeless man pleads guilty in court.  The Muskingum County Prosecutor’s Office says that 27-year-old Michael Estep entered guilty pleas to felonious assault, assault, abduction and two counts of disrupting public service.  Police say the charges resulted after 58-year-old Timothy Jenkins was found assaulted on Van Buren Street in February.  The Prosecutor’s Office says a number of other charges will be dropped at sentencing including attempted murder, aggravated robbery and domestic violence. Judge Kelly Cottrill ordered a pre-sentence investigation in the case.
