Operation Feed Pancake Breakfast

The Muskingum Hunger Network wants you to eat breakfast Saturday to help provide a meal to those less fortunate.

A pancake breakfast is being held Saturday morning at the Applebee’s on Maple Avenue as the final portion of this year’s Operation Feed campaign.

"The cost of the breakfast will be $5, and all the proceeds will go to the Muskingum Hunger Network which will then be divided between 15 food pantries, four hot meal programs, and one special needs program," said Tom Cover, President of the Muskingum Hunger Network.

This will be the second year for the fundraiser. Cover says they had a nice turnout last year, but they are hoping for even greater numbers this time around as more people become interested in giving back to the community.

"That’s what it’s all about, is to help other people in need. I know from working a food pantry myself, when you see people come in, even people that you know, it’s a great experience and makes you feel so good to help others."

The pancake breakfast runs from 8:00 a.m. until 10 a.m. If interested, you can just stop by–no tickets are needed.
