The 25th Annual Red Cross Golf Outing is talking place this Friday.

The goal of the fundraiser is to raise money to support the Red Cross’ mission to provide support to those suffering after a natural disaster.

" Every year people in our communities and the counties we serve face one of the most devastating things in the world and that is fire to their residence and the money we raise will help them with their needs," said Executive Director, Marlene Henderson.

Some of those needs includes food clothing and shelter. The average fire can costs the Red Cross $500 to a $1,000. Henderson hopes to see a large crowd this year support the cause.

" I am really hoping that people that participated in the past come out. You know maybe it’s been a couple of years since you golfed and you would like to come out and help us celebrate our 25th annual, " said Marlene.

The golf outing will take place at Jaycee’s Golf Course and will start at 11 a.m. with lunch. To purchase tickets you can give the Red Cross a call. Last year they raised just around $14,000.
