The Ohio Department of Natural Resources says the boat two missing men were likely in before it went over the dam on the Muskingum River was stolen. O-D-N-R spokeswoman Eileen Courson says sometime after 8:30 p.m. Monday a boat was stolen from a dock near the Zanesville Yacht Club. Courson say the boat was a 19 foot 1994 Crownline that was blue and white. Searchers are speculating the men crashed after going over the dam and were thrown into the swift current. Pieces of the boat have been recovered. A report on WHIZ AM 1240 Radio lead an area resident to realize his boat was gone and report it to authorities. The men were reported in the water Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. and have not been seen since. O-D-N-R says a helicopter from the Highway Patrol and the Division of Wildlife has been flying over the river looking for the missing men.
