Motorcycles and faith in God bring members of the Rushing Wind Biker Church together each weekend, but this weekend was extra special.

The church hosted its 12th annual Biker Fest Weekend which ran Friday through Sunday.  Local riders and those as far away as San Diego, California made their way to Zanesville for a weekend of bikes, friendship, and worship.

"We had about a thousand come through this weekend, and we were very blessed to see a lot of our local clubs here this year. It has been absolutely fantastic," said Pastor Michael McGuire.

In addition to speakers, food, and performances at the church, the Bikers for Christ also rode through Relay for Life on Saturday to make a donation to the American Cancer Society. Pastor McGuire said the goal of the weekend and the church is pretty simple.

"This is an outreach church," he said.  "We encourage people to come hear the word of God, and what we do is we equip them to be able to go out on their motorcycles and be able to share the gospel of Jesus Christ. This church is really open for everyone. All are welcome. It doesn’t matter what you ride or drive."
