A Zanesville man changed his plea in connection to a stabbing incident on Brighton Boulevard.
27-year-old Brian Williams entered a plea of guility to charges of felonious assault and possession of drugs.
Muskingum County Prosecutor’s Office said on April 2, Williams got into an altercation with another man on Brighton Boulevard over drugs and stabbed the man with a knife causing injuries.
Williams attorney, Jerry McHenry told Judge Cottrill that the victim in the case had chased down Williams and that’s when the altercation took place.
He said a good samaritan broke apart the fight and disarmed the victim, who’d gotten the knife. A third person then took the knife and got away and hasn’t been located.
