Members of the Noon Rotary Club of Zanesville gathered at Bryan Place for their weekly meeting Tuesday to celebrate the changing of the guard.

Paul McClelland will take over as president for Mollie Crooks just in time for the 100-year anniversary. Past President Mollie Crooks is excited about the new era of the club.

"It’s very exciting to see the torch passed to Paul McClelland. He will be an awesome president, and I’ve really enjoyed working with him as the president elect and look forward to the future years with him as a president this year," said Crooks.

Some of the events that the Rotary Club has been involved with include the annual rose sale ,Christmas parties for students, and Phoenix scholarship awards that are granted to those who have overcome adversity to graduate high school. McClelland said that he is ready to keep up all of the hard work that the Rotary Club does.

"Well I think the most that I’m looking forward to is just continuing the legacy that Rotary has established in this community with their projects over the years," said McClelland.
