Pyrotechnica Show Set for This Weekend

by Josh Overholser on July 15, 2014

Pyrotechnika is set to host a "Luminaria" show at the Colony Square Mall.

They are a group of new age performers who do everything from paint drumming to fire dancing, and they also perform with shape manipulation and black lights.  Co-Creative Director and Choreographer Tyson Kumorowski said that this show will be a unique experience for the local community.

"Expect to see a lot of cool things, you won’t see this show anywhere in Southeastern Ohio," Kumorowski said. "You might see it somewhere like Branson or another tourist location."

The show will take place in the former Duhnam’s space at the mall. It will be July 18th and 19th at 7:30 p.m.  There will also be a matinee show the 19th at 2:00 p.m. All of the performers involved with Pyrotechnika are local, and they intend to stay within this community. They have prepared a show that is intended for everyone.

"All ages, we tailored it anywhere from infants and toddlers and whoever all the way up to the prime of their life," Kumorowski said.

Tickets cost $15 for adults and $10 for kids. The matinee will be $12 for adults and $7 for children.  You can purchase tickets in advance by visiting www.eventbrite.com.
