Through the years country singer Kenny Rogers has never let fans down.
Now the 75-year-old is bringing his talents to Secrest Auditorium. On December 14 where he’ll perform Christmas Songs and his most famous hits.
Co-owner of Dusty Guitar Promotions, which is responsible for bringing Rogers to Zanesville, said a visit from the three time Grammy winner is a big deal for our area.
"Anytime you can get someone that has that many hits and sold that many albums it’s a thrill to not have to drive Columbus or Cleveland or a big market to be able to see him," said Dusty Guitar Promotions Ryan Dodson. "Everyone can go out and support local restuarants before the show or after the show and have a great time right here in Zanesville."
Dodson said they’re working to bring other acts to Zanesville, but it’s no easy task.
"It’s a challenge because you have to balance the cost of the act and Kenny’s not cheap with the ticket prices," explained Dodson. "We try and keep those as low as possible. You can actually get to see Kenny for as low as $35, which is a heck of a bargain."
Tickets for the show go on sale Friday at 9a.m. They can be purchased at Secrest Auditorium or go online at etix.com But, you have a chance to win them before they go on sale by listening to our radio stations Z92 and AM 1240 all this week.
Carson Dirve will play prior to the concert in the basement from 5:30p.m. to 6:30p.m.
