Elephants, Camels and donkeys don’t even begin to cover all that the Carson and Barnes Circus has brought to Zanesville.

Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. as well as Thursday at the same times, the circus will have shows at the Muskingum County Fairgrounds. The circus will also have events leading up to the shows like pony rides, elephant rides and of course clowns on the midway.

A 5th generation circus performer and Ring Master Jairo Ojeda said that there’s room for everyone at the show.

"We plan to show everyone a good time, we want to show an old family traditional circus, very family oriented, good clean wholesome family entertainment for children of all ages," said Ojeda.

The circus will also feature many acts from all around the world including a hula hoop act from Peru, quick change performers from England and a trapeze artist who sings live during her performance. The ringmaster said that they are lucky to be in such an exciting line of work.

"We’re really an everyday ordinary people that do extraordinary things," said Ojeda. We live an extraordinary life, we get to travel around the states get to see new people, new places."

Admission costs just $16.00 for adults and local stores are offering coupons for $10.00 off of children’s tickets. If you’re interested in learning more about the show or about Carson and Barnes Circus you can visit their Facebook page.
