YMCA Keeping the Community Cool

It’s been more like fall than summer this week but the slight warm up today brought swimmers back to the YMCA.

The pool has seen a drop in the number of swimmers since it’s been cooler throughout the week but some of the regulary visiting swimmers have still been there everyday. Head life Guard Blair Border said that it hasn’t been cold enough to keep everyone out of the water.

"A little bit, we have had fewer public come in but the lackey and the camp groups are still coming out and they’re still able to swim so it’s warm enough," said Border.

The YMCA invites the community to come and enjoy the pool. Border said that even with this dip in the temperatures it hasn’t gotten cold enough to spoil your day by the water.

"It’s still warm enough to for people to come out and swim and people are still enjoying themselves so come on out," said Border.

The YMCA is open Monday through Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and Sundays from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. The cost is only $5.00 for a day pass, per person. To learn more about the Y you can call them at (740) 453-9622.
