The Annual Chamber – Jaycees Golf Outing was held Friday afternoon at the Jaycees Golf Club.
Membership Services Director of the Zanesville Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce, Dana Matz said that this is a great event for the Chamber and Junior Chamber. The top three teams will each win cash prizes, but overall the event raises money for the chambers economic development and promotions.
"We had 29 team sign up for this event, so, very excited about that. This is a larger golf outing. It’s our second outing of the year. We now do a spring and a fall outing. We’ve had over 50 teams participate between the two outings. It’s a great chance for chamber member businesses to get together and network with other businesses and reward their employees."
Many businesses from the community compete in the golf outing each year. While it is a fun day out of the office, Brendan Underwood, of North Valley Bank considers it a great networking opportunity.
"I think its a good camaraderie event, it relieves stress when you are working hard through the week. Its a good opportunity to socialize with other folks throughout the community."
Lunch was served around 10:30a.m.with a shotgun start an hour later.
