Members of Zanesville City Council voted to accept funds from FEMA’s Assistance to Firefighter’s Grant Monday night.
The city applied for three projects, and all three were approved. Equipment to be purchased include self-contained breathing apparatuses, rapid intervention team rescue packs, and EMS equipment including heart monitors and defibrillators. The total cost of the project is $240,572 with $216,515 coming from FEMA. The remaining $24,057 comes from the city’s required 10 percent match.
