Genesis Community Ambulance celebrated its 20th anniversary this afternoon with a luncheon for staff and surrounding fire and police departments.
In the past year the organization has added the Genesis name to their trucks and uniforms as well as achieved substantial growth in their department.
"Over the last year, we’ve grown, almost doubled in size, we now service different counties. Washington, we’re in Coshocton, we’re in Perry, so just a lot of growth over the last year. We are hoping to expand our services through out Ohio" said Director of Operations for Genesis Community Ambulance, Tom Edminson.
Genesis Community Ambulance also serves Muskingum County. Edminson said that the next 20 years will have a lot in store for the organization. We even took a look at the new "toy" that Genesis Community Ambulance has recently acquired. A power gurney capable of lifting up to 700 pounds.
According to Edminson, "Advancement in technology, as we saw here this stretcher, helping to save the backs of our employees, so we don’t have as many employee injuries through out the years. "
The luncheon was held at the Genesis Community Ambulance building from 11:00am to 1:00pm this afternoon.
