Each year the Grace United Methodist Church opens up their doors for their Annual Block Party.
Sunday afternoon people from a variety of churches in Muskingum County and the downtown area gathered on Shinnick Street to enjoy food, entertainment and fun.
"Everything is free, the entertainment is free, and we just have lots of food and hope that we can meet different people from different churches" said Outreach Leader, Tracy Miller.
Miller explained that the block party is simply an outreach event designed get members of the community to come together. Steve and Halle Randles have volunteered to help with the set up and running of the block party for many years. This year they were extremely happy with how things are going.
"Absolutely, the weather has corporated really well , the breeze make a big difference and we’ve been really thrilled with the turn out" said Steve.
The block party started around 11:45 Sunday morning and ran throughout the day.
