Ohio State football fans have received terrible news: star QB Braxton Miller is out for the season, per ESPN.
Miller re-injured his throwing shoulder while throwing a simple screen pass in practice last night. He underwent an MRI this morning.
Ohio State was predicted as a heavy favorite to win the Big Ten with Miller under center. His replacement will be redshirt freshman JT Barrett, who recently passed Cardale Jones on the depth chart. Though he was a highly prized dual-threat quarterback out of Texas, Barrett has yet to play in a college football game.
The Buckeyes open the season on the road Aug. 30 at Navy.
