The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has confirmed an EF0 tornado struck down just northeast of Frazeysburg Monday afternoon.
EMA Director Bo Keck said the sheriff’s office received multiple calls reporting a tornado at Old Riley Road and State Route 16 around 3:00 p.m. The tornado knocked a large branch onto a home at 4940 Short Road near Frazeysburg. It also knocked out a window in the rear of the house. Residents of the home said the twister came through a corn field behind their property, laying over many of the crops, before touching down at their property. There have been no other significant reports of damage and no injuries reported at this time.
