The set-up for the Morgan County fair concluded Monday. That means Tueaday is the first day of the 162nd Morgan County Fair.

Fair board director Debbie Earich said that there are many things going on at this year’s fair including tractor pulls on Wednesday and Friday nights. She says that many people come out to support the junior fair as well.

"I think we still have a lot of people that display things and take an interest and bring things in," Earich said. "We have a lot of interest in the livestock. We have a really large junior fair compaired to a lot of fairs, and our sale on Saturday will start at 11 o’clock and will take probably eight hours to get through it."

Earich added that while many other county fairs limit the number of animals kids can show, the Morgan County Fair has not.

"We haven’t cut ours back because people still come to support the sale, so as long as we can generate the money for the kids, we’re not going to limit how many animals they have."

Gates open for the fair tomorrow and events begin with a dog show at 10:00 a.m. For a full list of events you can visit the fair’s webpage at http://morgan-county-fair.com/.
