It’s the pizza people come home for, and they have been coming home for it for 56 years.

Adornetto’s Pizzeria is celebrating its anniversary with specials that can be found on its Facebook page. Erin Adornetto, the Human Resources Manager for Adornetto’s says that it is a great honor to be a local business that is standing the test of time.

"This is a great feat for any business, let alone a restaurant when we have so many different options. It’s great to be a local business and to give back to our customers any way that we can because they have given so much to us over the years" said Adornetto.

The pizzeria takes pride in sticking with the tradition of the restaurants founder, Jim Adornetto, using fresh ingredients and making everything in house daily. The current location isn’t far from where the original location stood those 56 years ago.

"In 1958 we opened, actually in our existing parking lot now, and in 1979 we constructed the current building that we are in now, that seats 200 people."

Adornetto’s is ranked nationally in the top 50 pizzerias by Pizza Today Magazine. The family also has brought two other dining experiences to Zanesville which WHIZ will feature this week.
