Labor Day, signaled the end of the swimming season at the Dresden Swim Center.
At the end of the evening on Monday lifeguards at the pool abandoned their posts, and the water went calm for the rest of the year. Samantha Mizer, manager of the swim center says with the rain and clouds, turnout Monday was as expected, but that this year was a good season for the center,
"Overall it’s been pretty good. Cold weather in July hurt us a little bit, but for the most part we’ve had a good year."
Keep in mind for next season that the pool is open every year from Memorial Day til Labor Day and has lots of amenities for people to enjoy throughout the season.
"We’re open Memorial Day through Labor Day. Daily admission is $6 a person, 2 and under are free. We’re open 11:00a.m. To 7p.m. We also offer water aerobics, that’s $2 a person for an hour. We also do group lessons and private swimming lessons, too" explained Mizer.
Many other pools marked the end of their seasons today as well, a sign that whether we like it or not, fall is upon us.
