Elder-Beerman is asking you to clean out your closets this week.

Since 1994, Elder-Beerman and Goodwill have been teaming up twice a year to collect donations for the Goodwill stores. Store Manager Annie Wolfer, said that this event goes far beyond collecting gently used items.

"It’s a great way to support the community because when the donations come in, and go to Goodwill, that helps employ people, it helps to train people that have barriers to employment, its just a great cause and it stays locally."

When you donate clothing, you are given a coupon for either 25% off clothing items or 15% off fragrances. The first 5 days of the event are triple coupons. Manager of the South Zanesville Goodwill, Janelle Shaffer says you can give a wide range of items.

"You can donate textile items, household items, gently used clothing, and it does really help Goodwill achieve their mission."

You can drop off your donations at Elder-Beerman or any of the Goodwill stores and they will give you your coupon. The sale runs from September 17 through October the 4th.
