Heath Police say they are still searching for a suspect involved in a purse snatching earlier Tuesday.

The suspect has been identified as 24-year-old Jacob Rey who just got out of of jail in July for an aggravated robbery conviction.  The purse snatching occurred in the Giant Eagle parking lot on Hebron Road around 11:00 a.m.  Police say the victim chased the suspect to try to recover her purse when the suspect drove away dragging the victim.  The victim was able to be treated at the scene.

Police spotted Rey’s vehicle at a hotel where he fled on foot from the responding officer.

Rey is still reported to be on the loose at this time.  He was last seen wearing a long sleeve dark colored shirt with light blue shorts.  He stands six feet tall with brown hair and brown eyes and has sideburns and a goatee.  Anyone with information is asked to contact Heath Police at 740-522-2141.
