The Muskingum County Community Youth Foundation is launching its annual coat drive.

For the 7th year, CYF is running its coat drive to help the Eastside Community Ministry and the Salvation Army. CYF asks for new or gently used coats to be dropped off from now through November 14.

Alisha Gupta is the Community Youth Foundation President, and she expressed the foundation’s appreciation to the community wide support.

"It’s amazing to be able to be in a community doing this kind of thing, and this youth organization because we have the support of our community and every project and every endeavor we partake in is fully embraced by our community," said Gupta.

CYF receives many coats during the annual donation. Gupta said that two years ago, nearly 500 coats were donated. And she added it’s the community that makes this drive possible.

"We never fail because we’ve got our community to back us up," said Gupta. "And we’ve been doing this for seven years, and that would not be possible to continue if we didn’t have out community to constantly donate and help."

Drop-offs are located at the following locations; Muskingum County Community Foundation, Muskingum Recreation Center, Century National Bank Locations in Zanesville at the Main Office on South 5th Street, North at Brandywine and South at Clay, at the John McIntire Public Library, Tri-Valley Fitness Center, Bishop Rosecrans High School, John Glenn High School, Maysville High School, Philo High School, Tri-Valley High School, West Muskingum High School and Zanesville High School.
