The official count for the Muskingum County General Election has been completed.

Board of Elections Director Chris Hamill says there were no changes in the results. The percentage of registered voters who participated in this years vote was just under 40% Hamill predicted 41%. There will not be a special election in February, so the next time voters hit the polls will be on May 5th for the primary.

"For the primary it would be a city, there’s going to be a city race, or there could be a tax levy, we won’t know that till the filing deadline," said Hamill.

That filing deadline is February 4th at 4:00PM.
