Holiday Help For Teens

For most parents the best part of Christmas is seeing the smile on their child’s face as they open their gifts. However, for parents who are unable to provide gifts for their teens Christmas can be a difficult time.

"House Of Grace has been handed over a program called Holiday Help For Teens. It used to be run by United Way," said Sheila Lear, House Of Grace Church Secretary. "So they’ve handed it over to us, and we’re reaching out to our community to be able to help us provide for ages 13-16 a wonderful Christmas. Because all too often they’re left behind and left out while they sit back and watch their younger siblings blessed with a great Christmas. So that’s what we’re here for."

Anything you’re able to contribute will go a long way in giving these teens a wonderful Christmas, but what should you buy?

"We’re focusing more on their little hobbies, a lot of them are still into the building sets, they’re into their video games, bedroom sets, clothes, jackets, shoes things for school like that. That way they can go to school and still look nice and feel good about it," said Lear.
