The State Highway Patrol responded to a 3 car injury accident at 8:54 Friday night. According to officials the incident occurred at Rts. 62 and 661 in Bulington Township.
Charles T. Starr, 71, was traveling south on 661 with his passenger and wife, Wilma J. Starr, 76, in a Chevrolet Cavalier when he failed to yield at at red light. The Starr’s vehicle was struck by an eastbound Dodge Truck driven by Gwen Ludwig, 57. Ludwig’s vehicle then struck a Chevy Tahoe driven by Zack Weitzel, 38, who was stopped at the intersection heading nourthbound.
Mrs. Starr, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Mr. Starr, was flown by medical helicopter to Ohio State’s Wexner Medical Center in Columbus.
Ludwig was also taken to OSU Medial Center.
Weitzel was uninjured.
