*A WINTER STORM WARNING is in effect for Fairfield County Until 5 AM Tuesday*
*A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY is in effect for Muskingum, Perry, Morgan, Licking, and Noble Counties until 5 AM Tuesday*
Clouds will continue to thicken up throughout the morning across the region. Temperatures will be very cold this morning as well, with most of the region below zero early this morning. The good news is that there will not be much of a breeze, so wind chill factors will not as cold, but will still be as cold as -10 at times throughout the day. So you will certainly need to bundle up if you are going to venture outside at all throughout the day.
Snow showers will begin to make their appearance towards the late morning, and will continue into the afternoon. Most of the snow accumulation will occur south of I-70. Look for 1 to 3 inches to accumulate by this evening.
Snow showers will continue to stick around into the first half of the overnight, with another 1 to 3 inches of accumulation expected. The highest totals will happen in Perry, Morgan and Fairfield counties, where 3 to 5 inches of accumulation will be expected. Those along I-70 should see 1 to 3 inches, but a few areas my pick up as much as 4 inches total.
The snow will taper off after midnight from west to east. It will be very cloudy across the region during the rest of the overnight.
A few more snow showers will be possible on Tuesday, as another front will move through the region. This front will bring another shot of arctic air to the region for the middle part of the work week.
Have a Great Monday!
