A sweet part of Zanesville history is now gone.
Almost a year ago, Bloomer Candy moved out of Zanesville. Now, on Monday afternoon, the old Bloomer Candy building on 3rd Street in downtown Zanesville tumbled to the ground. Crews began demolishing the building around 1 p.m. Monday afternoon. The structure housed the company during its 130 years in Zanesville. Bloomer Candy moved to Columbus in May of last year. The company was founded in 1879.
