An international tenor is coming to Zanesville to give two separate performances.

Jesús Hernández began his career as an opera singer in the year 2008. Hernández will be performing at the Buckingham House on Saturday at 7PM. All of the proceeds will go toward the CASS-MIND Academy. Hernández told us what it means for him to be able to take part.

“It’s kind of leaving a little piece of me into something this big. It’s kind of like putting a little stone into something that is going to be bigger.”

The cost to attend is only $30 and that includes the full concert and a reception. We spoke to Cassandra McDonald who explained the importance of their cause.

“It is a special honor to be in this community doing what we’re doing and offering an Autism Learning Center and supportive services and the incredible thing is the results that we’re getting. The parents are saying, ‘I have my child back. He is moving so forward’ so it’s an incredible thing to actually input because what we’re doing is raising viable citizens that will input in our community and help our community grow. ”

Hernández will also be performing at the 100 Year Anniversary of the Zanesville Noon Rotary Club on Friday, May 15 at Ohio University Zanesville. The event begins at 4:30PM and is open to the public.
