Those tuning in to the the Today Show, Wednesday morning, may have seen a familiar face on their television screens.
Miss Southeastern Ohio Matti Chrisman performed on the plaza as a member of the Kent Clarks. The group is Kent State’s first and premier contemporary a cappella group.
After singing on Today, the group invaded the studio to watch Lady Antebellum perform.
Chrisman is a sophomore in Kent’s theatre and dance musical theatre program.
She was crowned Miss SEO in February with a platform that encourages after school programs for children and teens.
She’ll compete at the Miss Ohio Competition in June in Mansfield, Ohio against 25 to 30 other contestants. If she wins she’ll advance to the Miss America competition in September.
