The Muskingum County Animal Shelter hosted its 5th annual Indoor Yard Sale on May 2.
The sale took place at the MASS Bingo Hall in Zanesville and Executive Director of the Animal Shelter Jody Murray said all proceeds will help the shelter continue to serve the community and their pets.
"Everything here goes right back into the shelter to help keep our adoption prices low and to keep all of our services low so folks can afford those," said Murray.
The Animal Shelter sold donated items and they also rented tables for others to get involved. The yard sale featured around 50 tables this year. The Animal Shelter raised approximately $1,000 last year and Murray said that although they don’t make a goal, anything raised, benefits the shelter.
"It’s one of those things that we appreciate the public coming out and supporting us," said Murray. "Anything that we make is wonderful and goes right back to the shelter. We just want to have kind of fun event for the community."
The shelter is looking toward their annual craft sale in November and Murray said anyone interested in learning more about the craft sale can contact the Animal Shelter at (740) 452-1077.
