After being postponed for a couple of weeks, ‘All Star Dad’s Day’ has been rescheduled for Saturday, July 18.

ForeverDads has the event each year to grow the relationship between dads and their children. The annual event is taking place Saturday in the open area near the YMCA pool on Adams Lane.

"It’s an opportunity for dads to spend time with their children," said ForeverDads executive director, Burl Lemon. "And we’re excited about the idea of right behind us here we’re going to have a ninja run which is a first year event that we’re gonna be doing and along with a lot of other things."

Lemon said by giving dads and their kids an opportunity to grow together, the organization is changing the way some people view the father son or father daughter relationship.

"The bottom line in all of this is that we want to give fathers an opportunity to spend time with their children," he said. "We want to eradicate, get rid of father absence. We’re creating an opportunity, being part of the solution."

You can pre-register for the event at foreverdads.com. Registration is free, but if you don’t pre-register, there is a $5 charge at the gate. All who attend will get free access to the YMCA pool until 7:00 p.m. that night.
