The Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce and the Zanesville Jaycees are teaming up once again for their annual golf outing.
Chamber of Commerce President, Tom Poorman, said the outing always brings the community together for a good cause.
“We split the proceeds with the Jaycees, so half the money that we raise goes into the programs and the services the Jaycees provide to community all year long, and half the proceeds go in to Chamber programs and services, so it’s really an excellent cause and we get a really strong turnout, we get a lot of people at this outing, it’s one of the larger ones in the community,” Poorman said.
The outing will begin with a shotgun start at noon on August 14, at the Jaycees Golf Club. Poorman said the match gives members a chance to interact with each other, and is a great networking event for the business folks in the community.
“It is a program that we use every year, in partnership with the Jaycees because the Jaycees stands for junior chamber, and that relationship is very important to the chamber of commerce. These are you business people, these are business people who are doing really, very remarkable things in the business community, both as individuals, but also as a group, they come together and they do a really great job for this community,” he said.
The price is $225 per team, and that includes two golf-carts and a pre-match lunch.
