If you’re in need of a flu shot, Rambo Memorial Health Center can help.

Rambo is keeping its doors open longer this flu season for its flu shot clinic. The health center is offering flu shots to Muskingum County residents for just $5, and if you’re not a Muskingum County resident, it’s just $20. Flu mist will be available to those interested by Wednesday.

“The flu shot is very, very good to get, you should always wash your hands, do things like that to prevent it, but also the flu shot helps build up your immunity to the flu, after you get it, it takes about two weeks to build up that immunity in your system, but after that you should be able to fight, they’re hoping it’s a better fight against the flu this year,” said Rambo Clinic Nurse, Jennifer Richards, LPN.

Rambo will have clinic hours Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 4:30, and extended hours every Thursday evening in October from 4:30 p.m until 6. Rambo will also have Saturday hours on October 3 and November 7 from 9 a.m. until noon.

“We’re going to be open at the farmer’s market the first two Saturdays of October, we will also be open in the office on October 3rd until noon, from nine until noon you can bring your kids, adults everyone can come to the clinics,” Richards said. “We always take walk-ins, anytime you can get your flu shot.”
