The November General Election is just over a week away and the Muskingum County Board of Elections wants to remind voters to make a stop at the polls.

Voters eager to cast their ballot can do so this Saturday and Sunday. The Board of Elections will be open for voting over the weekend.

“The Secretary of State mandated extra hours for early voting, and so this week we’re open until 7:00 p.m. until Friday,” said President of the Board of Elections Timothy Thompson. “Saturday we’re open from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. and Sunday we’re open from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.”

If you’re unsure where to vote this season, whether you’ve moved, or it’s your first time at the ballot box, Thompson said to visit the Board of Election’s website at The last time to cast an early-voting ballot in-person is November 2nd at 2 p.m.

“It’s important to vote because it helps to show that you’re involved in your community, you’re interested in the issues, and the candidates and you’re standing behind those candidates to support them,” said Thompson.

The general election is Tuesday November 3rd.
