In efforts to raise money for the Tri-Valley High School Marching Band, the second annual turkey shoot took place this afternoon.
Locals came out to Dillion Sportsman Range with their 12 or 20 gauge shot guns all to support a good cause. It was 3 dollars to shoot and shells and concessions were provided. Even a chance to win a gift certificate to Old Village Meats was up for grabs. We spoke with Tri-Valley band member Marcus Tolliver.
"As a band member myself, I’m in my 4th year right now, next year will be my senior year, we’re looking just to help out the band any way we can so it’s always great to just come out and have fun. That’s the main goal here today, is to have fun. Everybody likes to shoot, everyone that’s coming here. It’s a good sport, a safe sport. I know I like to shoot" he told us.
If you’re interested in helping the Tri-Valley Marching Band, you can join them again next Sunday October 18th at Dillion Sportsman Range from noon until 4 p.m.
