ZANESVILLE, Ohio- A nonprofit organization is doing its part to keep our pet population low.

Paws of Muskingum County is hosting its 25th Annual Cookie Walk Saturday December 12th from 9 am until noon.

“Tomorrow’s our annual Cookie Walk, 25th annual” said President of Paws, Kris Medley. “We’ll have cookies, breads, fudge, candies, dog treats, cat treats. We’ll have a chinese auction. We’ll have a silent auction. And we’ll also have kinda of a bazaar-type thing too.”

Paws uses the profits from the cookie walk to spay and neuter pets for low income families. Medley said Paws members baked about 2,200 cookies.

“We would like to reach about $5000. That gets us through the whole year, because our mission is to spay and neuter for low income people. The Paws of Muskingum County mission is 0% pet population” said Medley.

The Cookie Walk will be held tomorrow at the Masonic Park located on Maple behind the Mattress Firm. For more information contact (740) 452-0231.
