ZANESVILLE, Ohio- The Zanesville Muskingum County Health Department welcomes community members for a community health assessment.
The Healthier Muskingum County Network held a meeting Wednesday. Community Health Planner, Kylie Jones said it’s to see what’s going on in the community.
“The Healthier Muskingum County Network is comprised of other community agencies, business, and community members. We’re working on the community health assessment to asses how our community is doing, what we’re doing well and what we need to work on. We’re still working on collecting data. We have a community survey that we’re going to be doing soon. We also are going to be doing some focus groups in the community. And talking to some other agencies and leaders to gather that information,” said Jones.
They’re still in the beginning stages of planning and assessing. Jones said they are meeting regularly and hope to see new faces at the next meeting.
Once the community health assessment is completed we will be doing a community health assessment plan. And that’s where we will be prioritizing our goals and setting some goals for the next 5 years. Our next meeting is Wednesday January 27, and we welcome community members. We are really wanting to encourage faith based organizations to be involved. And anyone in the community that has interest in the Healthier Muskingum County Network.
