ZANESVILLE, Ohio-Â Law makers in Ohio have formed a task force to discuss the highly contested issue of medical marijuana.
Muskingum County Sheriff Matt Lutz is apart of the marijuana task force. He says it’s good to get a dialogue going regarding this issue especially with people from different perspectives and backgrounds.
“You basically want to get a some people to sit down in a room. Have people from diverse cultures diverse backgrounds to bring different points and perspectives to it. The conversation to come up with ideas on what’s best for the community and the State of Ohio,” said Sheriff Lutz.
This is not the first task force Sheriff Lutz has been apart of. Lutz said the goal of the task force is to come to the best decision for the citizens of Ohio.
“I think it’s good to get a group of people in the room to start talking about the ramifications of the decisions being made and what’s good and what’s bad. And hopefully we can kick around good ideas and make some good decisions for the State of Ohio,” said Lutz.
Lutz said he is looking forward to the next medical marijuana task force meeting which is set for Thursday, January 28th.
